Odyssey Awarded STS II SMC/SYG S3 Task Order

On November 9, 2017, Odyssey was awarded a five-year firm-fixed price contract to provide Engineering Management, Technical Acquisition, and Space and Ground Radar/Optical Systems subject matter expertise to the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) Ground Based Space Surveillance Division (SMC/SYG). The contract, competitively awarded as a Task Order under Odyssey’s GSA OASIS SB contract, will provide product support, sustainment engineering, sustainment management, technical order management, technical user interface, and system design, engineering and integration expertise to the SYG mission.

SYG sensors provide timely and accurate metric and space object identification (SOI) data on Near Earth (NE) and Deep-Space (DS) objects. These sensors provide data to populate and maintain the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) Space Catalogue and support for special events. The SYG Division, with primary locations at Peterson Air Force Base, CO and Dahlgren Naval Support Facility, VA, supports the Joint Space Operations through the Distributed Space Command and Control (DSC2) Center, enables Command and Control for the Space Surveillance Network (SSN), and supports the development and sustainment of operation Command and Control (C2) tools through the Integrated Space Situational Awareness (ISSA) program.
