Welcome to The Journey

Tom PortlockHello everyone,

When I assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in June, one of my first objectives was to enhance communications with Odyssey’s employee base. Given the geographic distribution of our workforce, it’s understandable if employees feel out of touch with what’s happening with the rest of the company. I feel it’s my obligation, with help from the rest of the leadership team, to bridge that gap and better connect every employee with Odyssey.

Through this newsletter, The Journey, we hope to convey important news and events from across the company and provide everyone a broader perspective of who we are and what we do. Regular features will include Program Highlights perspectives from our program directors, Employee profiles, and a News section where we’ll highlight major events and awards. I hope you enjoy it.

Another way we’re trying to better connect is getting out to the field more regularly. Having been with Odyssey since 2002, I’ve long known we’re a company of talented, dedicated, hard-working individuals. But as I’ve traveled the country over the past few months I’ve been tremendously impressed with the level of support you provide to our customers in addition to the sheer magnitude of your accomplishments. Don’t forget to check out Employee Shout Outs below for just a few examples of the great things you’re doing. You should be proud!

As you can see, we’re a great group of people supporting a diverse client base. What we do is critically important, but how we do it, in my opinion, is even more significant. Each and every day, I urge you to hold true to our Core Values: be respectful, be committed, be adventurous. These three tenets have been the benchmark of our success over the past 22 years and will serve as the foundation of what we do and where we go in the future.

Thank you and have a great autumn!

– Tom Portlock, CEO
